Richard Wexler is a retired physician whose longstanding interest in photography was recently reignited while living in Paris. He has studied at the Maine College of Art, the New England School of Photography and in Paris with Valerie Jardin. While his past interests have varied from landscapes to polaroid images taken through a scanning electron microscope, now he is most passionate about street photography. All images in his most recent collection, “People in Paris”, were taken using an iPhone camera. My goal is to capture people caught in the act of living their lives. Each image invites the viewer to create a story, informed by their own experience, but set in the context of the photograph. Richard lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife Elizabeth.
