Jeanne invented this technique which combines the aesthetics of both painting and sculpture. She finds it freeing because it invites the viewer into the space in a new way; this piece is no exception.
"Pop" marks a vibrant moment in time when perhaps music and color and form melted into a seminal experience. One that the observer would like to freeze forever, Jeanne often likes to let the observer personalize that moment for themselves. Thus, creating a lasting connection. with this little.
The painting is installed in a handmade in New England shadowbox. The shadowboxes are all custom made by hand especially for each painting.
This piece is oriented in its shadowbox in such a way that it gives it a feeling that you might find when running as a child with a completely pure heart. One not yet touched by the world. The fibers run into each other... into the other with the "Joy" of exploration or whatever connotation the observer feels.
When looking at Fine Art it's all about that head/heart connection that the makes it so special. Keying memories. Provoking dreams. Reminding them of a special someone.
This piece of 3-D abstracted painting runs up and down... left and right....aimlessly? Only if the observer feels that emotion that moment. The palette is calming and would suggest purpose. Almost a planned voyage... that is now unstoppable. The scale is small, the message quite powerful.
